What we check
A complete picture, not just the obvious part.
A grinding brake or a knock over bumps is a symptom, not the whole story - so we check the whole system, not just the part that's making the noise. Braking and suspension work together, and a fault in one often shows up as wear in the other. You'll get a clear picture of what needs doing now and what can genuinely wait.
- Disc rotor thickness and surface condition
- Brake pad wear, front and rear
- Brake fluid condition and moisture level
- Calliper operation and slide pin condition
- Shock absorber and strut performance
- Suspension geometry, bushes, and ball joints
- Steering rack and tie rod condition
- Wheel bearing assessment
What we'll tell you
What needs doing now. What can wait.
We don't create urgency around things that can wait. When we find something, we explain what it is, why it matters, and we're happy to show you the worn part itself if you want to see it. You get a written estimate before anything happens, and no work proceeds without your go-ahead - not the other way around.
Warning signs
What to listen and feel for.
A grinding or squealing noise under braking usually means the pads are past their wear indicator. A pulsing pedal or a shudder through the steering wheel points to a warped rotor. Pulling to one side, a knock over speed bumps, or the back end feeling loose on corners are all suspension symptoms, not brake ones - which is why we check both systems together rather than chasing the noise in isolation. None of these are things to wait out.
